B+W
Filter Digital Pro
A new filter series especially for digital cameras |
|
Digital Pro
is the name of the new filter series from B+W. It is
especially designed, with respect to mount sizes and
design, for digital cameras and camcorders. The chrome-colored
mount harmonizes especially well with the bright
trendy colors of many digital camera models. The
B+W Digital-Pro Series in chrome includes at this time
the following mount sizes, and depending on demand
will be expanded:

Even with
digital cameras, photo filters really make sense for
taking the best possible picture. For the simple reason
that, despite the most versatile picture processing
programs, the principle still applies: Image data which
are lost when taking the picture cannot, as a rule, be
restored later on the computer. In digital
photography, the following filters have proven to be
particularly suitable:
B+W Type 486
UV-Infrared Absorbing Filters for improved
image sharpness and neutral color reproduction.
B+W UV Filters. They
reduce the possibility of blue cast as well as
out-of-focus blurring, and can also provide protection
for the outermost lens component.
B+W Neutral
Gray Filters. They provide neutral
light reduction, and hence are an ideal aid in
connection with the high light sensitivity of electronic
camera sensors.
B+W
Polarization Filters. Increase color
saturation and contrasts; annoying reflections from
reflective surfaces (e.g., window glass or water
surfaces) are suppressed.
B+W Close-up
Lenses. The high imaging of small objects achieved
with close-up lenses when the picture is taken prevents
the later electronic selective enlargement of the
digital picture, and in this way assures optimal
sharpness.
B+W 007 Clear
MRC. Optimal protection for the front lens
without affecting the imaging quality.
A special
feature of these filters is the innovative B+W MRC multi-layer coating
technology
(Multi Resistant Coating) for
better sharpness in focusing and a reduced tendency
toward smudging.
